Program: This course begins with principles of Basic Cardiac Life Support techniques, then continues with management of acute cardiac problems including such mechanical and pharmacological procedures as:

• Adjuncts for the management of airway control and ventilation
• Monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
• Defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion
• Intravenous techniques
• The essential and other useful drugs in cardiac care
• Acid-Base balance

Prerequisites: Each student must supply a photocopy of his/her current BCLS or CPR for Healthcare Provider certification with application or in advance. This course involves a testing station and there is little time for practice. Please be sure that you have a solid understanding of BCLS before entering this course.

Tuition: $270.00 (includes textbook, course packet, lunch and refreshments); $230.00 with NO textbook. Refund is permitted only if cancellation is confirmed at least two weeks prior to course, less cost of registration fee of $25.00.

Re-certification: You may re-certify in ACLS by attending on the second day of the course only. In order to re-certify you must supply a copy of your current ACLS and BCLS cards. Tuition fee for re-certification is $220.00 with textbook; $180.00 with NO textbook.
